Apex Kick Off Spring as Match Sponsors of Crewe Alexandra FC v AFC Wimbledon Game

On 23rd March, Apex were pleased to be back at the Mornflake Stadium as CAFC Match Sponsors as they took on AFC Wimbledon.  Apex’s MD Rich Lamb and Commercial Manager Debbie Snelson, accompanied by six guests, enjoyed an afternoon of hospitality & football.

Sadly, Crewe Alexandra were forced to settle for a 1 – 1 draw, with AFC Wimbledon’s John-Kymani Gordon & Crewe Alexandra’s Rio Abebisi both scoring within the first 13 minutes!

Debbie Snelson, Apex’s Commercial Manager commented:

“We love sponsoring The Alex.  There is always such a great vibe at the games.  It’s nice to be able to spend time with our clients outside of the work arena, as well as catch up with other local business CAFC sponsors .. shout out to Liam and Andrew, Andrew Connelly Practice and Simon, Key & Eagle Digital Media !

It was especially enjoyable on this occasion as two of our guests had never watched a match here before.  Hopefully, the club hospitality package made their first experience a memorable one!  Before kick-off we were served a delicious three course meal – the lemon tart gets a five-star rating from me!  We enjoyed watching the match from well positioned seats, despite the howling wind, & were pleased to take away our signed memento shirt.

The most nerve-wracking part of the day for me was following the players out onto the pitch for pre-match photos.*  Having been advised by several people, “The pitch has just been watered, there’s always someone that slips, be careful”.  Thankfully, I stayed on my feet!  I really didn’t fancy ending up on the floor in front of a 5000 plus crowd!

As always, a big thank you to James Beckett & the CAFC team for looking after us so well.  We look forward to seeing you again soon.”
